STUFFED AND UNSTRUNG is created by award-winning director, producer, writer and puppeteer Brian Henson, and co-creator / host Patrick Bristow. Expert puppeteers create unpredictable and outrageous scenes and songs on the fly, as suggestions from the audience prompt the improvised storylines unfolding on stage. This production delivers two shows in one, as the puppet action is live on large screens, while the puppeteers display their skills in full view of the audience. This is produced by Henson Alternative, which is The Jim Henson Company’s label for content created exclusively for adult audiences. We spoke about the puppets’ lack of inhibition and censorship, and why puppets get away with saying and doing things that humans cannot. I did meet some of the puppets from Stuffed and Unstrung, and they are truly lovable.
