Gene Weygandt (Working)

I loved speaking with Gene Weygandt at the Broadway Playhouse to promote WORKING, running through May 8, 2011. This is a new musical based on the book by Pulitzer Prize-winning author Studs Terkel. Working explores the American workday using the original words of 26 workers from all walks of life, and celebrates the idea that everyone deserves respect for their job. Gene, who is best known as Wicked's Wonderful Wizard of Oz in Chicago and on Broadway, is thrilled to be working with Stephen Schwartz, and sings his deeply personal song "Fathers and Sons" as the steel worker in the show.
