HANDEL’S MESSIAH ROCKS - I had the pleasure of meeting the 3 talented Broadway performers of Handel’s Messiah Rocks at the Renaissance Hotel, prior to its opening here in Chicago at the Bank of America Theatre: Mike Eldred (tenor), Ramona Keller and Marty Thomas (baritone). This musical event blends classical music with classic rock, and updates George Frideric Handel’s most performed oratorio. We talked about how this music explores the universal themes of faith, love and peace.
