Rachel Rockwell (The Sound of Music)

Rachel Rockwell is the choreographer and director of the Tony Award and Academy Award-winning musical, THE SOUND OF MUSIC, opening at Drury Lane Theatre, Oakbrook. The production was the final collaboration between the legendary team of Rodgers and Hammerstein. Rachel Rockwell is a multi-Jeff Award winner, who was named “Best Director” by Chicago Magazine in 2010 -- “Rockwell makes the transition from talk to tune as seamless as conversation”. We agreed that the challenge of finding the perfect balance between humor and darkness was similar in The Sound of Music and her prior production, Sweeney Todd.
