Jeffrey Katzenberg is the Chief Executive Officer of Dream Works Animation. We met at a press event for SHREK THE MUSICAL, at the Cadillac Palace Theatre. This show is based on the story and characters from William Steig’s book Shrek!, as well as the Dream Works Animation film Shrek, the first chapter in the Shrek movie series. We spoke about the risks and obstacles of transforming a film into a live theater production in terms of audience expectations and plot expansion on the original movie.
