Francis Guinan (Time Stands Still)

Steppenwolf Theatre presents TIME STANDS STILL, which is directed by ensemble member Austin Pendleton and features ensemble member Francis Guinan, who has been a Steppenwolf ensemble member since 1979. Steppenwolf’s 2012 season -- “Dispatches from the Homefront” – explores how everyday lives are touched by war. According to Artistic Director Martha Lavey, “our mission is to engage audiences in an exchange of ideas that makes us think harder, laugh longer, feel more. Time Stands Still does just that. Francis Guinan sees the play as focusing on absences and responsibilities, and the emotional impact of returning from the violence of war, and reintegrating into “normal” mundane life.
