Sergio Trujillo (Memphis)

Sergio Trujillo is an internationally recognized choreographer whose work has been seen across North America, Europe and Asia. This year, Sergio had the distinction of having four shows running concurrently on Broadway which include Memphis, Jersey Boys, The Addams Family and Next to Normal. I had the honor of seeing the Broadway production of MEMPHIS at the Shubert Theatre this past week, and was thrilled to speak with Sergio about how he creates a piece of theatre which can challenge, provoke and inspire. Memphis has been running on Broadway since October 19, 2009, and I appreciated seeing Sergio's heart and passion in every number. I last interviewed Sergio in April, 2011, as he made his debut as director and choreographer in White Noise at the Royal George Theatre.
